Composer, Producer, Guitarist, Clinician, Consultant


After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music followed by a teaching stint there, Coodley moved to New York City. In 1985 Coodley founded
Metro Music Productions, Inc., New York NY
- a full-service music production company. He scored for CBS, WCBS, ABC TV, FOX Sports, ESPN, Virgin Megastores, Schick, and many others, and his commercials and videos include a who's who of the fashion industry: Ralph Lauren, Victoria's Secret, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Dana Buchman, Joseph Abboud.

In 1988 Metro launched the Metro Music Production Library. Beginning with a home studio in a nook of a Manhattan apartment, Coodley built the Metro catalog into a highly successful worldwide brand, distributing production music on every continent. His outstanding acoustic and electric guitar work is evident thoughout.


Coodley has worked with Pat Metheny, Gary Burton, Donald Byrd, Ben E. King,
Cyndi Lauper, Jerry Bergonzi, Michael Urbaniak, Andy Snitzer, and on hundreds of recordings.

By 2011 Coodley had produced 104 CD's, having sold the Metro Library to 615 Music.
In 2007 he formed Mitch Coodley Music for composing, producing and consulting.

Coodley is now in demand as a lecturer and clinician, working with new talent and guiding them toward successful music and work in the music industry.
